Gorgeous Amanda Seyfried is barely 25 years old, yet “her people” insisted that she have Botox injected into her face in order to stay competitive in the cut-throat movie industry.
“I was like, 'Damn you!'” Seyfried tells Elle magazine in the March issue. “But we’re in Hollywood. I’m on a huge screen. With these new digital cameras, you can see the peach fuzz on my face.”
Seyfried’s costar in the musical hit “Mamma Mia!,” Meryl Streep, has advised young actors in Hollywood against getting Botox, "I think people look funny when they freeze their faces.”
“Meryl, she makes herself very accessible right away, almost too accessible,” says Seyfried. “That’s what I do. And it totally works. My thing about meeting people—men, women, people in general—is to desensitize them, kind of shock them a little bit, to make myself accessible.”
Botoxed or not, Seyfried opened up about falling in love with her “Mamma Mia!” Costar Dominic Cooper, “(It is) one of the easiest things in the world,” explained Seyfried, who spent two months on location in Greece with Cooper. “You’re both open. You’re put in a situation where you have to make out with each other. It’s easy for things to get carried away.”
Seyfried’s break-up with Cooper has made her gun-shy, “It’s really hard to open myself up to a new person. Really hard.”
But a tough break-up didn’t stop Seyfried’s from rating her favorite on-screen smooches, “I can’t lie. It didn’t suck making out with Channing (Tatum) and Justin (Timberlake).”
